Chelsea joined Mayfly in 2022 as an SEO Content Writer, building, implementing and optimising content strategies and continually pushing the importance of omnichannel marketing to tell a brand’s story. She has worked with a wide range of clients, adjusting her writing style to suit the tone of voice for each individual business.
Her role encompasses all things wordy. From captivating blog pieces to optimised product descriptions. As Head of Content, she takes care of the Social Media team, writing strategy and setting workloads. She also holds the reins of Mayfly on The Wall, our monthly Newsletter. She’s often found researching content gap analysis, implementing on-page SEO and finding new ways to offer Helpful Content.
Her career highlights include:
- Creating a blog-based website, winning two developmental grants and smashing Local SEO for a long-term freelance client in Liverpool
- Reaching coveted top spots in Google’s SERPs for nationwide rehabilitation centres, through on-page SEO methods and Helpful Content
- Generating lead conversions with optimised, Helpful Content on service pages for a long-term Mayfly client
Chelsea is a Creative Writing graduate from Liverpool John Moores University and is working toward a Masters Degree in Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University. She kickstarted her career in content writing after graduating in 2018, when she began freelance writing. She has trained in proofreading, content marketing, digital marketing and search engine optimisation. She has written for small businesses to nationwide enterprises and worked for marketing firms spanning Liverpool, Cheshire, and the wider Merseyside area.
Chelsea has three poems published in a local anthology and a debut short story featured in LJMU’s yearly literary magazine. She is also the Content Lead for Visit North Wales where she combines her love of the outdoors and travelling with what she does best.
