About John
John joined Mayfly in 2016 as a content writer and has expanded upon his role as he’s continued to learn and develop. He has worked with dozens of clients in a wide range of industries, giving him plenty of opportunities to flex his creative writing chops.
John’s work with Mayfly has run the gamut of digital marketing tasks, including managing Google Ads accounts, developing content strategies, managing web design projects, designing emails, setting up influencer marketing campaigns, and conducting keyword research.
His career highlights include:
- Catapulting a legal-niche website to the top of dozens of search rankings with a series of in-depth articles.
- Generating hundreds of cheap leads for two local service businesses after re-structuring their Google Ads campaigns.
- Helping to launch three major web design projects in the space of a month from his spare bedroom during COVID lockdown.
In 2020, John completed the Chartered Institute of Marketers’ Level 6 Digital Diploma in Marketing. This degree-level qualification took a year to complete and involved researching and applying established marketing frameworks to digital practices.
John has also written a digital marketing column for Franchise World Magazine and enjoys sharing his insights with clients (and anyone else who will listen).
