We are looking for a talented SEO specialist to plan and manage in-depth search engine optimisation strategies for our diverse range of clients.

Please note: This is not a remote work opportunity. All staff are required to spend 3 out of 5 days per week in our Liverpool office.

You will be responsible for managing and conducting key tasks in order to develop ongoing SEO strategies for our clients, including keyword research, website auditing, and performing data analysis.

You’ll manage a selection of our SEO accounts and delegate tasks to executives, content writers and developers, whilst keeping clients informed of progress.

Responsibilities

You will be working on a broad range of clients, collaborating with our SEO Manager, Digital Marketer, Content Writer, SEO Executive, and Developer.

Below is a full overview of your key duties and responsibilities;

  • Ensure SEO processes are followed and any barriers or issues are calmly resolved, so all tasks are delivered to schedule.
  • Prioritise and brief our SEO team with a broad array of tasks, ensuring that each individual is clear of what is required of them.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis of prospective SEO clients, providing our Digital Marketer and Director with the relevant information required to sell the service.
  • Communicate honestly and patiently with our clients’ in-house marketing personnel using our preferred project management tool, Asana.
  • Deliver clear, concise reports to our clients, focusing on key metrics, in order to illustrate monthly progress and highlight upcoming opportunities.
  • Work with our developers to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on all website builds and client sites.
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve organic keyword visibility.
  • Conduct technical site audits on a regular basis and have strong knowledge of critiquing client websites.
  • Analyse technical issues across client websites and brief those to our in-house web developer or clients’ external personnel.
  • Develop on-page and off-page SEO strategies in line with best practices to drive organic traffic on the major search engines.
  • Conduct backlink audits, manage backlink outreach, and support the implementation of link-building strategies for our clients.
  • Conduct on-site analysis and keyword research to identify target keywords with potential growth opportunities and optimise where possible.
  • Review competitors and conduct gap analysis to identify missed opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO practices, including Google algorithm updates and potential penalties.
  • Play an active role in defining SEO best practices and scalable processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of proven SEO project management experience.
  • Solid understanding of SEO, inbound marketing, and online customer acquisition.
  • Strong experience in research, analysis, testing, and reporting.
  • In-depth experience with website analytics and SEO tools (e.g, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Screaming Frog).
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of search engine ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO.
  • Extremely organised and able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills.
  • Not afraid of learning new things and working hard.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Confident managing your own schedule and time management.
  • A good standard of written and spoken English.

Job Types:

Full-time, Permanent

Salary:

£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year, dependent on experience
