PPC
Not only does PPC’s strategic approach accelerate relevant traffic and generate more conversions, but it also milks your marketing effort for everything it’s worth.
Underpinned by a team of accredited experts, our Liverpool-based PCC agency has helped brands and businesses get the most bang for their budget with practical solutions that deliver.
Let’s get the people you’re waiting for one step closer to meeting and loving your brand.
PPC (pay-per-click) allows you to purchase visits (or clicks) to your website instead of relying solely on organic traffic. Advertisers then pay a fee each time an ad is clicked. While search engine advertising is a popular PPC method, our expertise extends to mastering your social ads too.
What you’ll get from PPC
A cost-effective method of driving relevant traffic to your site, fast.
Quick-win search conversions that bolster your social efforts.
Trackable campaign performance that allows you to record what’s working and what isn’t.
Acutely targeting your intended audience to work in tandem to your specific business goals
Nudging on the fence users over the line with retargeted ads.
Are Google Ads feasible for your business? Analysis of your average order value, customer lifetime value, conversion rates, click costs and search volume will give you the answers.
Keyword planning
Taking a deep-dive into your audience and personas gives you an insight into which keywords to target. This could highlight gaps in your content, and opportunities for ad or landing page improvements.
Competitor analysis
With an initial keyword target list in place, attention can turn to your competition and how your ads can gain more visibility, drive more traffic and generate more conversions.
Build campaign
Your Google Ads campaign is built, alongside landing page amends that are required to give your ads the best opportunity to convert. Tracking is also setup to measure performance.
Approval
Once the initial setup is completed you’re given an opportunity to review the ad copy and landing pages. Tweaks can then be made to fine-tune messaging and approach.
Ads pushed live
Depending on the type of campaign being run, a learning phase may begins. The ads and landing page are assessed by algorithms, and are served to people searching for your target keywords.
Optimise
After at least a few days have passed, your ads campaign will have collected enough data to form the basis of optimisation work to improve metrics and push the account towards your objectives.
Report
You can choose to receive a simplified monthly report summarising progress, or use your own access to the Google Ads account to pull out the data as and when you need it.

FAQs
How much budget should I commit to a Google Ads campaign?
Your monthly ads budget can be worked out by combining your average order value or customer lifetime value with your typical conversion rate, along with the cost per click and search volumes for your target keywords. This is preferable to setting an arbitrary figure, as it takes into account the actual costs to advertise and the potential return on ad spend you’d receive.
How can I measure the performance of my Google Ads campaign?
Performance on Google Ads campaigns are measured through a number of metrics. The metrics measured depend on your campaign’s objective. For example, a lead-generation campaign will be analysed in terms of the number of leads it generates, along with the conversion rate, click through rate and clicks, to name a few.
Which is better: PPC or SEO?
PPC and SEO are radically different marketing approaches which can be wielded together or separately. PPC typically provides results in the short-term, allowing you to generate traffic quickly and iterate landing page amends in order to optimise your conversion rate. SEO, on the otherhand, is a longer-term strategy that will take time to build traffic and conversions.
What types of Google Ads should I use?
Search, Video, Display and Shopping are the main ad campaigns available to you, with each capable of serving different users from a wide variety of touchpoints. Which type of ads you opt for will depend on your overall objectives. For example, a text-based search campaign can target your audience at the point they’re looking for your service, whilst a video campaign could catch them whilst they’re researching around your niche on Youtube.
How long will it take to see results from PPC marketing?
You should see results from PPC marketing within 4 weeks, however time will be required on a monthly basis in order to optimise your campaigns, drive down cost per sale/lead and increase conversion rates. Your campaigns do not exist in a bubble, so performance will also be impacted by competitors’ activity, search volume variance and seasonality.
What does your agency need in order to get the ads started?
In order to get started on your Google Ads account we need:
Access to any existing Google Ads accounts.
Access to your Google Analytics account.
Access to your Google Search Console account.
Access to your website’s backend.
Do you send monthly PPC reports?
You have the option of receiving a monthly one-sheet summary of ads performance, or simply having access to the ad account as and when you need it. You’ll have easy access to the person here managing your ad account, should you wish to query anything or inform us of any changes to your business.
How will I know if time has been spent on my account?
All time spent on your account will be tracked via Everhour which links up with our project management tool, Asana. Each Mayfly team member tracks their time on specific tasks, ensuring as close to 100% accuracy as possible. We can happily provide timesheets for each month spent working on your account if required.
Do I have to sign a contract and is there a minimum term?
We require all retainer-based clients to agree to our terms and commit to a minimum term of 3 months. After the 3 months have elapsed you’ll have the choice to agree to a new fixed term, or continue on a monthly rolling basis.
Is there a notice period required before cancelling services?
If you’re on a monthly rolling agreement, we require 30-days’ notice should you choose to cancel your services with us.
