The Package

- £33,000 – £36,000 per year, dependent on experience

Schedule
- 34-hour week
- Option to compress into a 4-day schedule (Monday–Thursday)
- Minimum 7 hours per day, with the option to work remaining hours at home on Friday
- Flexible start/finish times between 7:30am and 5:30pm

About the Role
As our Paid Media Manager, you’ll take ownership of all paid media activity across Mayfly’s client base, managing strategy, execution, optimisation, and reporting across multiple platforms.
We’re looking for someone who can confidently deliver paid media strategy for clients, while also improving how we plan, run, analyse, and report on campaigns. This role goes beyond day-to-day execution — you’ll help evolve our paid media offering, improve internal processes, and ensure we’re staying ahead of platform changes and industry trends.
You’ll work closely with clients and collaborate with our SEO, content, and web teams to ensure paid media aligns with wider marketing and commercial objectives.
Responsibilities
1. Paid Media Strategy & Delivery
- Develop and manage paid media strategies for clients across a range of budgets (from £1,200+ per month).
- Plan, build, and manage campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube) and Meta (Facebook & Instagram).
- Build a strong understanding of each client’s business goals, audiences, and funnel structure.
- Write compelling ad copy and creative messaging tailored to platform and intent.
2. Optimisation & Performance
- Monitor and optimise campaigns to improve efficiency, lead quality, and ROI.
- Set measurable campaign goals and track performance against them.
- Identify opportunities for testing, scaling, and improvement across accounts.
- Provide clear insight into performance and highlight areas for optimisation.
3. Reporting & Client Communication
- Produce monthly reports outlining performance, insights, and recommended next steps.
- Confidently communicate results and strategy to clients in clear, non-technical terms.
- Ensure paid media activity supports wider marketing performance and commercial outcomes.
4. Innovation & Development
- Stay up to date with platform changes, trends, and best practices across paid search and paid social.
- Continuously review and improve internal processes, campaign structures, and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to evolve and expand Mayfly’s paid media offering over time.
About You
You’re a confident paid media professional who enjoys both the strategic and hands-on side of campaign management. You’re comfortable managing multiple accounts, analysing performance, and taking ownership of results.
You understand how paid media fits into the wider marketing mix and can think commercially about how campaigns drive real business growth.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 2+ years’ proven experience managing paid media campaigns.
- Google Ads certified, with hands-on experience across Search, Shopping, and YouTube.
- Experience running multiple paid campaigns simultaneously.
- Understanding of landing page structures and conversion best practices.
- Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working to deadlines and managing competing priorities.
Preferred
- Strong experience managing Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram).
- Experience with LinkedIn, TikTok, or other paid social platforms.
- Agency experience managing multiple client accounts.
- Strong commercial awareness of how paid media supports wider business goals.
