About Paul
Paul started working with Mayfly in 2013 as a freelance developer. Previously he had worked in the design industry for 20 years, first as a graphic designer and later as a web designer/developer. Over that time he has seen the web evolve from a simple information tool to the commercial & marketing powerhouse it is today.
Paul’s role at Mayfly has similarly evolved from project-based development work to ongoing website support and optimisation to server and technical architectural planning and implementation. Paul is always on hand to give technical advice and support whenever the team or its clients need it.
His career highlights include:
- Being part of, and eventually the manager of, a design team which won multiple design awards and produced work for household name brands.
- Worked within development teams on website features for global leading companies.
- Planned and implemented a plan to move hundreds of hosted websites from one old server to multiple high-performance cloud servers without data loss or client downtime.
- Streamlined and optimised a wide and varied range of Mayfly client sites to achieve Google site speed performance scores in the top 10% of sites worldwide.
Paul is currently focused on creating high-performance, attractive client websites and e-commerce online stores which have easy-to-use yet flexible admin interfaces, allowing both Mayfly team members and clients to easily add new and interesting content without the complexity of requiring additional development.
